All Amazed

I am nothing but a person lost in a shadow,
Taking on everything, just so I won't be hollow.
But there's nothing but darkness left now,
It seems strange, but I never stopped to wonder how.

There seems to be good in this world,
But there's never enough for just one girl.
So I'll stand here all amazed by your figure,
Shining in the light, beautiful and slender.

An expectation I wish to be, but aim as I might,
You are something made out of all that is right.
I sit here in sin, wishing to be you,
As you destroy your lovely figure in the wicked's glue.
