Destruction by Superficiality
When Eve bit the apple,
she couldn't have known
it would lead to comparisons
between breasts and melons,
nipples and pepperoni,
bosoms and bubbles,
legs and cottage cheese.
I bet Eve didn't know
a bite of an apple
would lead to girls
eating nothing
but a kiwi for dinner
And throwing it up after.
Do you think Eve knew
a bite of an apple
would lead to humans
cooking themselves
under tanning beds
paying the price of cancer
for tangerine-colored skin?
If Eve would have known
a bite of an apple
would lead to destruction
by superficiality,
might she have eaten
a mango instead?

The irony of this is it's a true story...muchly enjoyed your pitted tale. I've always preferred mangoes myself. :)

Superficiality in title but you do an excellent job of digging underneath the surface. Very impressive !
