A Soul's Secret
Staring into bright blue sky
A young Marine sits awkward and shy
In a far and distant land,
A desert full of endless sand
He knew something was not quite right
But couldn't name it, try as he might
He knew that somewhere in his core
There had to be just so much more
Know he must the certain truth
While he remained in his youth
Who to tell or who to ask
This would not be an easy task
If he speaks he knows this means
Certain doom with brother Marines
So quiet he must learn to keep
The secrets that still haunt her sleep
A young Marine sits awkward and shy

A desert full of endless sand
He knew something was not quite right
But couldn't name it, try as he might
He knew that somewhere in his core

So quiet he must learn to keep
