Fury (The World Burns)
Drifting in a sea
On a tree
Filled with empty
Hopes and dreams
And it seems
All that gleams
In my eyes
Are smoky skies
And dirty lies
From a land
That demands
It won’t stand
For who I am
It’s a sham
Why would I scam
Those I love
So off I shove
Because I'm tired of
How they all say
Go away
But I want to stay
And try to be
The real me
Yet still I flee
From the diverse
Who disperse
All their perverse
Words of hate
And a state
Of irate
Fools who will never know
The hate they show
Will soon not glow
In the fires of time
May bells chime
My life is not a crime
On a tree
Filled with empty
Hopes and dreams
And it seems
All that gleams
In my eyes
Are smoky skies
And dirty lies
From a land
That demands
It won’t stand
For who I am
It’s a sham
Why would I scam
Those I love
So off I shove
Because I'm tired of
How they all say
Go away
But I want to stay
And try to be
The real me
Yet still I flee
From the diverse
Who disperse
All their perverse
Words of hate
And a state
Of irate
Fools who will never know
The hate they show
Will soon not glow
In the fires of time
May bells chime
My life is not a crime
