A hundred words

Though as told a picture
be worth a thousand words
I will keep the ink to a mere
hundred hoping the point be
made that as the lyric of love
repeats with the diamond needle
skipping along the dusty vinyl
over and over again in sweet refrains,
any hand approaching the phonograph
with intention of stopping short the song
will be severed for the sentiment bears
repeating till my last breath blows
from this life to the next where upon
figuring the lay of the land my heart
will resume beating for the beauty
of the ages for the ages
