Down on the Ground
I walked around on every cloud
No one but me around.
Until I caught a glimpse of you
and you pulled me to the ground.
I used to see nothing and have no love to share.
I had a small blind eye that blocked hatred, pain, and fear.
Now I know it all exists.
It's not at all a myth.
I now know that there is still love and kidness in all this.
Now I stand on solid ground,
and I know it is all here.
As our friendship grew so well
the world became more clear.
Then the bottle pressed your lips
every time I came around.
Now I'm just stuck looking,
lonely on the ground.
You're the one up in the sky
too high for me to reach.
I just want to grab you,
pull you down for me to teach.
Teach you all the ways
that once I never knew.
I wouldn't be so down to Earth
if it weren't for you.
Instead of facing a cruel world
you've left me on my own.
Now you're the one that's in the clouds
roaming all alone.
No one but me around.
Until I caught a glimpse of you
and you pulled me to the ground.
I used to see nothing and have no love to share.
I had a small blind eye that blocked hatred, pain, and fear.
Now I know it all exists.
