Hotel
why cant you stay?
i know the wallpapers cracked, and the furniture dont match,
i know there are broken windows in the rooms and moss on the desks.
i know this old hotel is broken down and empty, but please stay.
what it lacks in beauty it makes up for in comfort,
with a soft place to rest after a long tiring day.
even though its a bit drafty, we have patchwork quilts and extra sweaters,
and ill bring soup whenever you call.
you promised youd stay and threw away the key.
but you left through the window, breaking it with our nicest chair.
please stay.
