Snowfall Resentment
Watching the white snow dance across the black sky.
A sense of loneliness washes over me,
Emptyness as well.
There's something sad about the snow. How quiet and beautiful it is.
I could watch it for hours.
Seems like it's inviting me, to be alone in it, walk by myself in it.
Looking at the snow covered ground, memories from earlier years play in my mind.
Running and playing, careless, like a child should be.
I now see why I resent the snow.
It reminds me of happier times that I will never be able to get back.
And now, I go numb, and cold, open the door, and walk into it.
