Regret

Your skin against my fingertips,
such a touch like a lingering kiss,
if only this love was a dinner for two.

If I find my way to your heart again,
don't let me in without knocking first,
just know that I'm a little closer to you.

I can't help but want to choose for you,
but my words are weightless
when all I can do
is think of you.

Don't tell me you can
do any better than this regret.
