Why Do You Do This to Me?
My chest cramps,
my heart rips at
the mere sight of
his name on my
phone screen.
Does he even care?
Breathing? Impossible.
My eyes burning,
melting inside my
skull.
Would he even care?
Erratic pulse at the
pace of a stampede.
My breaths, hacking,
uneven and jagged.
Did he ever care?
Please, show me you
care. Paint the colors
back into my world.
Write the music back
into the my happiness
and light the spark
back into my life.
Show me that you care
and that I'm still your girl.
