She spoke truth.
Truth that rustled my soul.
Shook my core.
“He doesn’t understand you” she said in that voice.
“Don’t limit yourself” she said.
Truth.
Truth I didn’t want to face.
The more truth she spoke,
The closer to her I wanted to be.
I wanted to wrap myself in her.
Inhale her scent, hold it inside me.
Explore her body, every inch and every mile.

Unseen and unheard,
I cry.
Sorrowful, mourning
tears of pain.
A tearing in my chest.
A pain in my heart.
An ache in my soul.
Cold fingers of remorse
rake my skin as my acidic
tears fall. The chill takes
me, weaves through my
insides and touches my
heart, turning it to
unyielding,
unbreakable
marble.
I cry.

3:30am. The kill.
The slaughter begins.
The innocent sounds of oblivious animals.
Stunned.
A bolt to the head.
Slit.
A slit throat. A dying goat.
Bled till dry. Bred to die.
Snick!
The head comes off.
More blood. More death.
The thud of the head hitting the ground.
Nauseating.
The dead eyes watch you as it rolls down the gutter.
Knives constantly at work.
Constantly being sharpened.
Constantly skinning and gutting.
The heat. The stench. The blood.
Like a dumpster in the tropics.
The hide is ripped off.

My Lifeless Body
I'm gonna die soon. I can feel
it. The stony realisation dwelling
deep within my soul. Well, what's
left of it. I'm gonna die soon if I
keep living this way. If I keep
putting others before myself. I've
all but used myself up. Wasted
my energy on those who don't
deserve it.

That's what they'll say about me
when they find my drained, lifeless
body on the floor. When they feel
