Damn The Dawn
I listen, quietly, to you breathe,
For this sound gives me comfort.
I know that your with me,
I know that your safe.
This thought, I know, will put me to rest.
In the morning I will wake,
But you'll shush me back to sleep.
My head will lay on top your chest,
I'll feel the rise and fall.
I feel complete. Just laying here with you.
Too bad the sun has dawned.
You have to leave, so she doesn't know,
I feel empty again.
Damn the dawn for rising.
