The University is Meant to be a Microcosm of Heaven
Heaven is where you stay young forever.
Visit a university.What do you see?
(Almost) all Young people.
Visit again 30 years later,
A hundred years later.
The faces of the students are still young,
As young as they were on your first visit.
So college exudes the theme of eternal youth.
In Heaven people are continuously learning
(Or knowing without having to learn?)
What do kids at the university major in?
Learning,discovering, reasoning things out.
Heaven is a citadel of knowledge,
A storehouse of facts,figures,data.
Likewise, with the university.
The library there is extensive.
Ditto, the internet data base.
Since the parallels are there,
we can assert this much,
The university is a microcosm of heaven!
In the Middle Ages( 1000 AD to 1500 AD?),
The nations of Christendom built
Beautiful,skyward-reaching cathedrals.
But the Middle Ages was also when
The cities of the nations of Christendom
Evolved great Cathedral-like university systems.
The cities of Moslem nations?
Not so much. No real comparison.
Nor the Chinese, nor the Hindus,
Nor the Mayas, nor the Aztex.
Nobody but the nations of Christendom!
The universities were meant to testify
To the truth of the Gospel of Salvation.
But today they have turned secular-humanist!
It's as if Heaven were in revolt against God Himself.
This situation won't last long.
After World War 3 and the Antichrist gains the world,
Christ will Come and take the world back!
After that glorious day,
All universities around the world
Will be forever in His debt,
Singing His praises like carolers at Christmas time.

I recall reading that a mediaeval English writer wrote "If Heaven be on this earth, it will be in a good school, where all is buxomness and there are books to read and learn." (As best as I can remember the words. BTW 'buxomness' has nothing to do with female anatomy, but with health.)

"Buxomness" - I'll have to use that one some time. Thanks for commenting. BTW I forgot to include that the Lord's Prayer includes, "Thy kingdom come..on Earth as it is in Heaven." So the Church c ommunity is supposed to be working to bring or create the Kingdom Of God(KOG) here on Earth. Well, the creating of the network of universities and colleges (first) in Europe really amounts to a partial fulfilling of that prayer. They are answer to prayer.
