Chilling Reality

Population is growing,
Friends are getting scantier,
Why it is so?
Is what I always wonder.

And it's such a shame,
The same can be said of me,
Caught up in this survival game,
Carrying on selfishly.

Nothing seems to matter;
Away with love and care,
If it doesn't put food on the table,
It's no use being there.

But the weeping eyes,
Needs a little consolation,
Everybody's got a time to cry,
A time to crumble under the weight of emotions.

Thus we really need each other;
Only the needy sees a need for that,
Some sadly feel well secured,
Behind everything they've got.

But the rich also cry,
And they feel lonely too,
As far as humans are concerned,
There's always something we can't do.

Summon one man's strength,
Add it to that of another,
The job will be much more easier,
For two heads are always better.

But all I see is nonchalance,
Every man is an isolated island,
The coldness of their love,
Defies what they claim on the other hand.
