MUSEUM
Museum of dead
Peoples' things
Signifying nothing
A ceramic louhan
His ears grow not
He hears no longer
The brass feet of a dancer
Her face tilted
As if it held the answer
To a throw away line
At the end of this stanza
As things come together
Father dies of cancer
No Know
Know No
And Muse Um
Peoples' things
Signifying nothing
A ceramic louhan
His ears grow not
He hears no longer
The brass feet of a dancer
Her face tilted
As if it held the answer
To a throw away line
At the end of this stanza
As things come together
Father dies of cancer
No Know
Know No
And Muse Um

You could do so much with this poem and this thing, strolling through "dead people's things". The first two stanzas were intriguing, how they showcased three non-rhyming lines like steps around an exhibit. And a louhan is probably a fish not the town, so it symbolizes that you can't hear underwater. And in the third stanza suddenly changes, but in a quizzical way. Her tilted face holds the answer. Not a big fan of the fourth stanza, seems more like an interruption, but the last stanza is like exciting jibberish, seems to be the annagramical answer in the dead people's things, that which the louhan fish couldn't hear and what was written all over the ballerina's face.
Please don't just fish the criticism out of the compliments. This is really good. Just work on it and you might have a masterpiece. Jealous... Lol.

nothing mythed - all there:)
thanks for the great thoughts
louhans are mythical buddhist knowers
and "Um" feels eternal without ending when mustered
like fish in streams hard to catch but so glad you fished

your museum identifies a place of utter despondence & remorse, rather than a house of learning. quite an intriguing walk...

I actually really like museums,
though the association with
death past and present is
poignant...
but the feeling I tend to have
when I'm in one, is often a
sense of peace, arrived at
after struggle...
perhaps those two paragraphs
above amount to the same thing,
but anyway, your poem has
given me pause, time to think...

It's like walking through a cemetary, with the remnants of death on display. Enjoyed it whale.
