Who can ease your worries
by listening and making time
to show genuine care
with tender words, a loving mind
         
What will you see as lines
stain this page with total concern
spilled from a soul longing
and seeking your smile to return
         
When life surges and burns
with difficulties blazing high
your light becomes shaded
overwhelmed, darkness in your sky
           
Where does the spirit hide
as timidity fills your daze
in sullen necessary tears
of melancholy haze
       
Why can you not find praise
within yourself, it lives and shouts
for a chance to reverse
this long, lonely, spiritual drought
