The Words of My Heart
My vein affixed
to the soulless paper
and filled it
with my dark red words
It transported
my heart’s excessive emotions
to the thirsty paper
creating lines dripping
with pain
It drank it all in,
every drop
of my dark red blood.
Every single one of my emotions
My abstruse thoughts
filled in between the lines
of the poem
It was the first stanza
surely not the last
there were too many emotions to spill out
to the sympathetic paper
A stanza is not enough for my emotions
There were way too many acknowledgements
and thoughts that I had
to get rid off
so I filled them carelessly onto
the liberal paper
The paper is now quenched with my words,
but the poem is still thirsty for more blood,
emotions, thoughts
and feelings
Wanting to quench the poem
I made my heart cry out the words
for the world to hear
for the poem to take in
for my heart to empty out
the dark red blood
My heart’s pain, kept the poem sane
The poem affixed to the world,
just how it did to my vein,
and it let the emotions explain
the words of my heart
to the soulless paper
and filled it
with my dark red words
It transported
my heart’s excessive emotions
to the thirsty paper
creating lines dripping
with pain
It drank it all in,
every drop
of my dark red blood.
Every single one of my emotions
My abstruse thoughts
filled in between the lines
of the poem
It was the first stanza
surely not the last
there were too many emotions to spill out
to the sympathetic paper
A stanza is not enough for my emotions
There were way too many acknowledgements
and thoughts that I had
to get rid off
so I filled them carelessly onto

The paper is now quenched with my words,
but the poem is still thirsty for more blood,
emotions, thoughts
and feelings
Wanting to quench the poem
I made my heart cry out the words
for the world to hear
for the poem to take in
for my heart to empty out
the dark red blood
My heart’s pain, kept the poem sane
The poem affixed to the world,
just how it did to my vein,
and it let the emotions explain
the words of my heart
