Meaningless Warmth

Past her crooked gaze
And the perfect rows of
Pearly white teeth
Curving upwards creating a slope
That tried it's best
To imitate the human echo
For whenever the mind stringed together
The perfect pair of words
To create a meaningless warmth
That spread quickly and burn out slowly
If you brought out your magnifying glass
Maybe you'd see that beneath
The lying and the crying
There's an innocent heart
That beats for anything or anyone
That could possibly make the meaningless warmth
Worthwhile
