A Pessimistic Perspective on the Prospect of Snowfall
A fragile veil, like tissue;
all that remains against
razorblade-infused winter air
nuzzling against me like a needy puppy
persistently trying to lick my face
in the final moments of gray
before the sky falls;
shattering into pieces
before swaddling the world
in a frozen wet blanket
all that remains against
razorblade-infused winter air
nuzzling against me like a needy puppy
persistently trying to lick my face
in the final moments of gray
before the sky falls;
shattering into pieces
before swaddling the world
in a frozen wet blanket
