Eating Disorder
Anorexia isn't just "don't eat."
It's the constant fear of ingesting calories by breathing, drinking, or even thinking.
It's not being able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
It's about seeing stars when you moved too quickly.
It's having every single little thought revolve around food.
It's hunger pains so bad you can't get out of bed.
It's washing your hair in the shower and having clumps fall out.
Actually, your hair is EVERYWHERE. On your clothes, your bed, your books.
It's losing your memory, your friends, and your sanity.
It's dark circles you can't hide with make up, and it won't make the dullness in your eyes go away anyways.
It's being tired and sleeping for 14 hours a day to avoid food, and because you lack energy.
It's feeling like you're lost in a haze and moving in slow motion.
It's not a joke. It's not a choice.
It's a voice in your head screaming your worth is strictly based off of your figure.
It's lack of self esteem. It's about insecurities tearing you apart.
It's about recovery.
It's about eating a meal, even two every day.
It's about hating what you see in the mirror, but knowing this was for the better.
You can recover, but it never fully goes away.
It's about life.
Choosing to throw it away, or fight.
