-kiss the storm
and we loved
the way time loves death
the way the sea kisses the storm
unending, and wet...
and we died
tracing shadows that inspire the night
hoping for one more tide
to carry away the past
and cleanse the coffins
which hold our destiny...
the way time loves death
the way the sea kisses the storm
unending, and wet...
and we died
tracing shadows that inspire the night
hoping for one more tide
to carry away the past
and cleanse the coffins
which hold our destiny...

the title says it, like making love to a hurricane. but we carry the torch, even in those saturated winds...

A Medieval dirge-like rhythm within its strong searchlight of hope and survival.

"and cleanse the coffins
which hold our destiny"
... as you know, i adore somewhat macabre imagery in love poems... anyone can do hearts & flowers and frilly rhymes, but balancing light and dark to paint a perfect chiaroscuro is something else entirely
beautifully written, Eddie
