Fated, Fabled, Fleeting Night

- Fated, Fabled, Fleeting Night -

In fated moments of night, but not ever silent,
For, I love the sounds of music playing on…
I am reminded of my life, lived in the moment.
Better to blaze hotly before our time is done!
Too much coldness with a winter not distant,
Leaves much to be desired by we wild spirits.
I weary of the tirades of they who cry ‘repent’!
They too oft despise the unique, and fear it…
But, all that is different and exotic I find lovely.
I shall never regret a life lived by my own will!
Let the prudish rant with a bit more brevity…
For my tongue will not by their bigotry be still.

For in the fated moments of night,
There doth shine brightly my light!
Thou canst see it with occult sight.

In fabled moments of moonlight gleaming fair,
I long to gather the stars in my hands, to play,
A cosmic game, with a joy beyond compare!
Do such fantasies come as fast during the day?
Nay, for only the night, weaves such a spell…
Conjuring faerie images before a wanton mind.
Naught can hope to, their enchantment, quell,
Nor can any sorcery capture or hope to bind:
The music of the shadows that they still sing…
They, the fey spirits who listen whilst we call!
Who can say what glamour their spells bring?
Only those who hath danced, at a faerie ball!

For in fabled moments of moonlight,
There shines, brightly, much delight!
Thou canst feel it, with all thy might.

In fleeting moments of darkness, softly spun,
On gossamer strands of spider web or silk…
Fashioned into something ever newly begun:
The flowers of the night flourish, never to wilt.
There: the dark fey dance, where none see…
Save we with eyes to notice their movement.
And, how we watch their waltzes with glee…
Willing, to learn all about faerie enchantment!
What secrets they pass on, are not thus told,
For there are not words to describe them so.
But thou wilt well understand if thou art bold,
And ready for thy spirit to evolve, and grow.

For in fleeting moments of darkness,
There shines the eye bearing witness!
Thou canst know its’ power to bless.
