Wonderland Nights

Nights like tonight when I should be falling apart
I’m fine. Heads clear, feet on the ground, lets keep moving along.
This is almost right by being wrong.
Perhaps I’m another Alice, and this is my wonder land.
All that is wrong is right, and the only thing to be wrong is what is right.
Wonderland is a dangerously, wonderful, dangerous place. Even Alice got lost and confused in her own sleepy head.
Poor little Alice, if I were in Wonderland would I wish I were dead?
No, couldn’t! Could I? All the wrong I had done would be right in Wonderlands law.
Nights like tonight, less we fall apart, lets travel the roads till they’re swept away.
I’ll chase a rabbit, while you sing with flowers.
Oh look! It’s the Hatter beckoning to me. You may laugh with the Hare and the Mouse, as we pour our own tea.
It’s a Wonderland night, and although we dance and sing with the MAD Hatter and Hare, our MAD journey has yet to begin.
For what is MADNESS without a cheshire cats grin?
Once the party is lost we run through the woods, only to look as close as far as we’ve come.
So we sit and we think whatever to do,
till before us they come: Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum.
They bounce, they laugh, giggle and shout “let us teach you something you must surely not doubt!”
Stories they, so fun and so strange, they could never be true.
Ah, but then this is a Wonderland night.
A night where we can be rightly wrong and truly untrue.
We walk along, heads as confused and as lost as our feet, I’ll stop to say hello to every strange bird that I meet.
When you find a rabbits home, we can pause to eat every sweet treat that is seen,
but oh no. Who knew?
Oh just look how we grew, I guess it’s good we saved the mushrooms too.
Shrink and Shrank, we must hurry and run as fast as can.
Run and run lets leave the woods at last.
Into the sea, chasing the fire,
we run right past!
we did pass the flame sometime ago, now we exit the water time to go,
we carry on not looking for nothing to see.
“No wait” came the voice in the tree,
so we turn to wonder who could it be
now we blink and puzzle what we see.
A grin? One so big and so long?
You can’t help but question a cats smile, nor his clever phrase, nor his witty ways.
Oh my dear it’s but a Wonderland night. We hold no true logic here.
Turn you reality around, add fantasy and dreams. Reverse it and again and again,
stir in all you ever wanted to be and all that you’ve come to see.
Now turn it upside down, take all that you know make it the truth of the lie!
Put it up for you to stand on and rely.
All that is wrong is right, and that’s right is wrong.
You gain your right through your wrong.
Your right is wrong.
Your right is gone.
Are your rights saving your new wrong?
What’s your right if your wrong on a Wonderland night?
The Queen has every right when she’s wrong.
You are  wrong with your every right!
Run Alice,
you’re wrong by your every right.
Run run run
or sleep forever in
the Wonderland night.
