A Fresh Beginning Through God

Eyes flutter behind their tranquil lids,
I lay in your arms
restless
stomach turning.
My lips to your ear,
gentle whispers ensue.
I kiss your motionless lips
but you are burried in the unconscious.
(Lucid Dreaming)

What we did was wrong.
Sex before marriage;
the ultimate sin.
Lust was tempting and
signs were moaned through.
I quiver with fear and regret
thinking of what could lie ahead.
(Teen Motherhood)

Both tormented with burdens,
can we fix each other?
Determined to conquer this
we talk into the night
confessing our woes.
Turmoil is high but
you commit to stay
not matter what.
(Please Stay)

You drift asleep
to my unsteady voice.
I lay awake
pondering our future,
weighing our options.
We are not ready for a child,
a problem that should not exist.
I recall your utterance:
“This must be what God wanted for us”
(False Rationalization)

God brought us together to help one another,
to strengthen each other in His love,
and mend the holes in our minds.
We must not fail him this time
for this is the path we chose.
