Oliver
On the day I started, my soul was ragged, torn.
All my thoughts laid bare to you, on the day they’re born.
Words can have the power, to just get in the way.
Keeping things all bottled up, not knowing what to say.
Even more they have the strength, to open hearts and minds
To delve into your core, surprised at what one finds.
Let thoughts be harbingers of both joy and pain.
Let love and life come from both, then you’ve found the gain.
That’s the lesson taught me, one not learned before.
I go and grab a bowl, because I’d really like some more.
Have I confused you, thinking something missed?
You can call me Oliver, Oliver with a twist.
All my thoughts laid bare to you, on the day they’re born.

Keeping things all bottled up, not knowing what to say.
Even more they have the strength, to open hearts and minds
