The Creature Winter
Can you hear it
Your walls creaking
The trees outside scraping
The dogs barking
The wind blowing
Can you see it
Leaning against your walls
Crawling through those trees
Startling the dogs
Breathing on your window
Can you feel it
Standing right behind you
I can hear it
Claws scraping along my walls
Causing leaves to fall
Ushering the dogs inside
Fogging up my window
I can see it
Cold in my bedroom
Withering the leaves
Making the dogs shiver
I dare not open the window
I can feel it
Winter awaits its return
Your walls creaking
The trees outside scraping
The dogs barking
The wind blowing
Can you see it
Leaning against your walls
Crawling through those trees
Startling the dogs
Breathing on your window
Can you feel it
Standing right behind you
I can hear it
Claws scraping along my walls
Causing leaves to fall
Ushering the dogs inside
Fogging up my window
I can see it
Cold in my bedroom
Withering the leaves
Making the dogs shiver
I dare not open the window
I can feel it
Winter awaits its return
