Daylight slowly began to seep
Through the darkened curtains.
His strong hands still embraced
Around my waist.
“Hey” I sighed.
“Hey” He exhaled.
Our bodies intertwined
With the drowning sound of music.
I was awake, wide awake.
For once,
I had no cravings.
No need for the caffeine induced
Morning cup of coffee.
No need for the smoke
To travel through my lungs.
All I craved was there.

Through the darkened curtains.
His strong hands still embraced
Around my waist.
“Hey” I sighed.
“Hey” He exhaled.

With the drowning sound of music.
I was awake, wide awake.
For once,
I had no cravings.
No need for the caffeine induced
Morning cup of coffee.
No need for the smoke
To travel through my lungs.
All I craved was there.
“Satisfied?” He asked.
“More than.”
