Today I pawned over $300 worth
Of dvds for $55
I was so desperate for the cash
I didn't tell them to take their offer
And shove it somewhere unpleasant
Instead taking the money and crawling
Out of the building feeling
Like I'd just whored myself out
For a packet of cigarettes
When I don't even smoke.

As soon as you buy a dvd, it loses most of its value. You didn't do so bad, and you needed the cash more. Strong write and message.
