My Angel Doggy

Going through a bad time of my life
I spotted you there on line
I decided right then you were the one
I begged the people, they said “okay  fine!”
“If you can get here within a half an hour
I’ll tell the other people he is now gone”
You were only 5 min. away
To live with me where you belong.
You were so little – a little furball
I knew it was fate - meant to be
I didn’t know how I could hide you from him
If I brought a dog home, he would leave me.
Since he was the source of my unhappiness
And you brought a smile to my sad face
I think I was hoping he would do what he said
move out and find another place.
Well, that never happened, I knew it wouldn’t
But now happy I started to live
All because of you my little friend
You had so much love you did give.
You’ve grown up to be a handsome dog
And I spoil you  every time I can
You give me more love than I can give you
I sometimes wish I could turn you into a man.
One day you decided to hop the fence
It must be because you still have your doggy balls
Must have smelled a bitch in heat
You did it because nature calls
While out there looking for that ass
You must have terrorized that dude in blue
A note from our mailman stated this:
Keep your dog inside or no mail for you!
You looked at me like what did I do wrong?
I answered: you were doing what dogs do.
When it comes time for the mailman to come
You’ll have to stay inside until he is through.
I am not the best of dog owners
I have a tendency to not treat them like a dog
I’m  thankful my dog somehow understands this
Or he would be a totally unruly sort of hog.
He has his little issues, and so do I
But this doesn’t matter to him or me
Because we have a very special bond
On which you cannot place a monetary fee.
It amazes me where help can come from
This time it was from my doggy friend
He couldn’t talk and/or offer advice
His love was all he could send.
Now it’s my turn to give to him
A good life because he deserves the best
He saved me from the depths of hell
And he’s passed the lifesaving test.
We both will grow old together
And when our hair turns gray
I hope we both get to go together
When it comes to our last day.
