Shallow
Ever heard of KASOL?
So shallow are the plains
as shallow as the people living in it
look as far as you can see
till where the curve fades away
you will see people walking straight lines
chasing the outcome of a coin flip
look till where the sun drops every night
it will look same everyday
though you've died in a relative way
so shallow are the plains
as shallow as this
go to shri radha, she will show you the way
through her third eye you will see whatever you may
dive into the valley
into the holy smoke
the smoke from chillums and the smoke from the baba's throat
climb up the mountains
through the hippie smoke
the smoke from the pipes and bongs and the smoke from the firangi's throat
sit with the river
in your smoke
the smoke from whatever you can roll and the smoke from your throat
forget the plains and it's noise
and hear the parvati flow
let it numb your feet
and ring it's roar in your ears
lay back on the rocks
with the smoke
take it in and warm your soul
look around and take a complete look
and spin with the circling view
climb up to where the hardened hands rub
rub out the oil
the oil that makes the smoke
don't ask the way
for there is only a single path made
don't ask how long it'll take
for it's upon your feet
sit down when you reach
and feel the sun and wind on your face
drink some tea and make some smoke
and feel all the wheels stop turning
so shallow were the plains
as shallow as high i am
visit the cafes and meet the people
red eyes and boom shiva chant for everyone
psychedelic tunes flowing everywhere
look above through the smoke
the countless starts, besides the river,in the valley
know your small and shallow
shallow is the meaning
with which we've filled our lives up to the brim
shallow is the ego
with which we live
trying to fill sense into a meaningless existence
let all rush into you at once
and let the smoke in to clear all
for you know
you will be back
back to the shallow plains
so shallow are the plains
as shallow as this.
So shallow are the plains
as shallow as the people living in it
look as far as you can see
till where the curve fades away
