Shattered
For every shattered memory,
there is a cold hard truth.
One that you don't want to face,
the one that sets all your happiness straight.
You remember life as a kid,
being happy,
nothing could go wrong.
When in actuallity,
everything around you,
was shit.
Your entire family was living on minimum wage,
mom worked a twelve hour shift,
just to survive.
So,
go and tell me again,
that memories are bliss.
there is a cold hard truth.
One that you don't want to face,
the one that sets all your happiness straight.
You remember life as a kid,
being happy,
nothing could go wrong.
When in actuallity,
everything around you,
was shit.
Your entire family was living on minimum wage,
mom worked a twelve hour shift,
just to survive.
So,
go and tell me again,
that memories are bliss.
