Imperfect Barriers
Earth shattering screech of pain
Behind the eyes we scrape the brain
With tears of blood you look distraught
I didn't want your brain to rot
I scratched and I picked
I opened your wounds
Your feelings leaked out
From these ancient tombs
I unleashed the monster hidden within
I brought you back out to the light again
Surfaced and scared, born anew to this change
You looked at the world a little strange
But with my hand and my tool, and your imperfect view
I destroyed the barriers between me and you
I set you free of your worries and fears
And prepared you to be more like me
Behind the eyes we scrape the brain
With tears of blood you look distraught
I didn't want your brain to rot
I scratched and I picked
I opened your wounds
Your feelings leaked out
From these ancient tombs
I unleashed the monster hidden within
I brought you back out to the light again
Surfaced and scared, born anew to this change
You looked at the world a little strange
But with my hand and my tool, and your imperfect view
I destroyed the barriers between me and you
I set you free of your worries and fears
And prepared you to be more like me
