I let go
He was my demon,
My devil,
My love,
My Evil.
He was my smile
My heart,
My tears,
My pain.
He was the one who,
broke me,
Inspired me,
Beat me,
Destroyed me.
He gave me,
Life,
Lessons,
Duties.
He lied to me,
Cheated me,
Despised me.
He was full of,
Broken promises,
Darkness,
Booz,
suffering.
He was my,
Lover,
Friend,
Partner.
Until I got away,
Broke my promise,
Despised his hands,
His touch,
His lips.
I cried.
I regretted.
I drank.
Until I couldn't hold onto,
His eyes,
His walk,
His beatings,
His empty words.
That is the moment,
I became free.

It was and I got away. I'm much happier now and poetry has been my outlet for various reaons, this being one of them. Thank you for your understanding.
