Lucky Stars

Lucky stars,
As I lie here thinking of you.
My life would be meaningless
If this love wasn't true.

You may not be perfect
But you're perfect for me.
The stars wouldn't twinkle,
The waves a dead sea.

I stumbled upon you
As I made one last wish.
I had given up hope
With my dreams to perish.

I asked for a foot
But you gave me a mile.
I asked for a minute
And got a long while.

I cherish the moments
We make together.
I wish this story of us
Lasted forever.

But the road breaks away
Into two distant places.
It will be sometime
Before we see each others faces.

You've stolen my heart
As you take it away.
I'd ask you to take me,
I wish you could stay.

But this story was written
All over the stars.
We can't change in our lives
What destiny carves.

How lucky for the stars
To follow where you go.
My heart will be breaking
As I'm missing you so.

We say good bye
But this isn't the end.
You'll be in my heart
Until we're together again.

I love you my dear.
