Man in the Mirror
The man I used to fear, Is the man I've embraced
The man I ran from all those years, Is the man I've chosen in haste
The man that caused all those tears, I've given up the chase
The man that stole my life, Is the man I love
The man with egotistical tendencies, The ugly dove
The man who burned down my family tree, Lifted from above
The man in my nightmares becomes the man in the mirror
The man clawing his way out has finally reached the surface
The man that steered me wrong, Is the man that threw me in the furnace
Speaking his way of hate, Controlling me to my grave
Saying what we could create, Laughing at my attempt to be saved
Whispering sweet nothings persuading me to become his slave
Embracing tainted inuendo from trained hate cresendos
The man I ran from all those years, Is the man I've chosen in haste
The man that caused all those tears, I've given up the chase
The man that stole my life, Is the man I love
The man with egotistical tendencies, The ugly dove
