foolishly scripted for cinema
silver screen eyes reeling
displaying the perfect ending before credits
rewinding, replaying and smiling
with softly spoken dialogue
jerking a few tears
tugging at the heart
all butterfly on the sleeve
once again, and now
just on a couch
hitting rewind
watching this scene with Jim Carrey
and Kate Winslet all eternal and sunshine
with spotless minds late at night
when you are a sleep
with Channing Tatum in his car
because I don't have one
or maybe because of something else
as foolish like that, more foolish,
perhaps, than my ideas where you and I
have silver eyes and marquee names
but who knows...

These ideas are foolish, I know this
like a romantic kiss in the rain
when really, who wants to get
