The last few years, kids don't come anymore.
Young adults, they're too old.
Had a wonderful time last night
My lady and I walked to the fireworks
2.25 mi there, carrying folding chairs
Best time of my life
Music started at 7, we got there about 9
Fireworks started at 9:15
Mrs wanted a drink of water
Went to first aid, asked for a drink
They wanted to give me Gatorade, I asked for water
They said the stand sells water, but I had no money
Can I just have a glass of water, for the Mrs, we walked here
They gave me a bottle, she drank a little
Thankful someone cooperated, instead of focus on money game
We listened to some music, I sat, she danced
She doesn't like bugs so we moved back by the road
Then the fireworks came
It was wonderful
Then we walked home
While crossing the 4 lane street mid block.
In front of us, a little boy (2) was yelling shoe, shoe
The dad stopped, and a boy in front of them had dropped his shoe
and they passed it and the dad went back to get it and the cars all had to wait, no one beeped.
The Mrs, she walked faster near the house, down the hill.
4.5 mi.
It was fantastic!
Next year she wants to go earlier, dance a little more...
I'm looking forward to the date
