Planet America

We think of America as being confined to one continent.
But Hawaii, the 50th state, is an exception to that rule.
This shows us that it doesn't have to be that way.
Nothing prevents the USA from extending to other continents.
We settled Liberia in Western Africa with 15,000 former slaves.
We could have turned Liberia into a powerhouse of civilization.
It could have taken over much more territory than it occupies now.
Liberia could cover all of the western Africa coast,
Much of the North African desert could have been confiscated.
American conquest would be justified if, via de-salinization,
We turned the desert green,restoring it to its earlier state.
In Roman times it was the breadbasket of Western Europe.
 
Likewise with the Philippines in SE Asia.
We won it from Spain after the Spanish-American War.
What if we had been able to give it "Commonwealth" status,
Wherein it is independent yet American at the same time,
Like Britain has done with India and other ex-colonies.
 
Plus there are the nations we saved in WW1, WW2, etc.
We could have granted them honorary statehood,
Overseas membership, in the United States of America.
That way,all of Western Europe,Japan, Israel, etc
Could be, in some sense, American, or in union with us.
In short we could have established US states on every continent,
Beachheads similar to the beachhead at the Normandy Invasion.
Gradually, steadily, they could have taken over each continent.
Til,at the end of the day,America could claim all the continents.
Yes, at that point Earth would receive a new name:Planet America!
 
Since America and democracy are fairly synonymous,
As democracy and Christian values spread to the rest of the world
Earth WILL become Planet America in a defacto sense!
Nevermind that it doesn't happen in an official sense!
