Childish pasts...
In the dead silence of night
The only light shown are the stars above
I lay next to you on the grass
Our initials engraved on the tree near
We would stay like this each night
Till it was time to take you home
Sneaking in your room some nights
To feel your warmth, it felt so right
Your father that's been kicking you out
Your mother calming him down till it's safe and sound
We drove far away, only for the two of us
It was a harsh reality to live in
Maybe to all those who had sinned
The children of theirs were nothing to blame
Being beside you is all I've ever needed
Each time you caught me when I felt like drowning
Your smile is the only thing that's keeping me alive
The sunrise sets, being right next to you
It's such a beautiful sight...
The only light shown are the stars above
I lay next to you on the grass
Our initials engraved on the tree near
We would stay like this each night
Till it was time to take you home
Sneaking in your room some nights
To feel your warmth, it felt so right
Your father that's been kicking you out
