Story of Dorothy Hale
Dorothy Hale, fancy & frail
Was drawn to men with money
She made her way to Hollywood
The land of milk & honey.
Dorothy Hale attracted the male
A lady, sultry & slick
A beautiful young actress
Who couldn’t act a lick.
Dorothy Hale, remark & regale
Threw a party for her friends
To announce her long, long trip
And achieve her final ends.
Dorothy Hale, stodgy & stale
An angel without a halo
Her sixteen story fall was
Immortalized by Frieda Kahlo.

A Classic tragedy here eh John=Excellence!!!
This was a figure I had grown up knowing the name of, but never knowing the story--Dig Your Mirth in bleak-and Frida what a pic!!! She captures Macabre as well!!!

thank you, your limerick-like poem introduced me first to dorothy hale. i readed about her just. and i somehow pity her for she is so cruely sarcastically perceived and her life deserved nouph as just a sardonic comics-tone dedications..not every woman has guts to be suffragette..

Tragedy in the worst way. Some angels try to fly outside of the fantasy. A stark reminder that reality rules the day. Thank you for this.

well i sure learned something new this morning :)
i liked the form here, Mister Feddeler, the limerick-like style makes it an almost satirical social commentary. enjoyed.

This one reads like a perverted nursery rhyme, with a wonderfully cynical last line. The penultimate verse is clunky, but I enjoyed this poem.
