Beautiful Robin
There once was a beautiful robin,
a small, but elegant bird.
She always flew around my yard,
singing a song in which I had never heard.
Her song matched the rhythm of her wings,
the wings that carried her around my yard everyday
She would look at me then fly again,
Maybe she was trying to show me the way?
Maybe she thought i was lost?
Or that i was a wondering soul,
but whatever she was trying to tell me,
I was curious to know.
Everyday I would sit out and watch the beautiful bird
leap into her marvelous flight
I would listen to her beautiful song,
all day until she was out of sight.
One day my beautiful companion didnt show up
I waited all day,
and then it hit me.
I knew what she was trying to say.
The little robin was my angel,
She saw the darkness that was around me.
She sang her song
to show me how to break free.
Her flight symbolized a never ending struggle,
Her song symbolized the fight
The lovely tune of her song,
helped me break through the fright.
In your darkest days,
you have to let your soul soar.
Sing your song as loud as you can.
Let the words and melodies open the prison door.
You can find a way to break through,
your souls song is how you win the fight.
Maybe one day you will stumble upon a beautiful robin,
Imprisoned in her elegant flight.
a small, but elegant bird.
