One Night
She sits there holding her face in her hands
Leg twitching as she tries to pull it together
Her breaths get heavier and deeper
Her fists begin to ball up, knuckles turning white
She looks at the bottle on her floor
Why not? She thinks
Bottoms up and takes a gulp
It burns in her stomach and sloshes around
Empty bottle, she stands up stumbling
Room spinning and legs failing
She smiles and looks at her desk
Blurring vision focused on the pill bottle
Anger still raging inside her, she doesn't want to feel
She crawls to the desk and reaches for the bottle
She counts 26 pills, that should do the trick
She swallows 7 of them and doesn't even count
Rolling onto her back, the entire room is spinning and warping
Her eyes dart everywhere trying to focus on one thing
She claws her legs and arms fascinated by the numbness
Her breathing is heavy as she looks on the floor at the pills
She swallows 9 this time as her blood seems to vibrate through her veins
She laughs and it echoes through her head like a tunnel
She starts to feel really dizzy as her visions doubles and her hands are sweaty
3 more she swallows desperate to never remember a thing
Her phone rings but she can't bring herself to acknowledge it
Her mind is numb and everything feels perfect
The world spins and warps and swings all around her
There are 7 left on the floor but she doesn't bother to count
She grabs the rest and crunches them in her mouth and swallows
Feeling weightless as she stands, hits the wall making her hand bleed
She screams and grabs her ears as it reverberates in her head
Her eyes grow heavy and her stomach lurches and legs give out
She pukes all over her legs, her eyes tear up from the heaving
She coughs and gags as more vomit projects from her throat
Her head drips with sweat, her stomach still pangs throwing up more and more
Hyperventilating she can't stay on her knees and falls to the floor
Her eyes grow heavy looking at her vomit covered body shivering
She can't feel her hands or her legs and the lights spin making her dizzy
Her breathing becomes shallow as she hears her door bust open
A voice fills the room around her echoing in her head but muffled and unclear
All she can smell is the vomit and all she sees are spinning lights and a tan fuzzy blob
Her head is lifted and gravity makes it fall back as she sees a light shined into her eyes
She feels her body relax as she lets sleep take over, a sleep she will never awake from
Leg twitching as she tries to pull it together
Her breaths get heavier and deeper
Her fists begin to ball up, knuckles turning white
She looks at the bottle on her floor
Why not? She thinks
