Paper People

Papercuts
Upon Papercuts
As we link hands

Blank Expressions
Pale Faces
That only we can understand

We've all been creased,
And cute and folded
We've been Outcast

But they don't care
Cos they don't stand here
In this broken Paperchain

They don't know it
What we learnt
At such a young age

And when we learnt
About hurt
It was the hard way

They havn't been mistreated
Snarled at, beaten
Like they were objects

They weren't hated
Because of the clothes they fit in
Or what they didn't have

They don't see it
Cos they can't feel
How hard it is to still stand

But here in Line
Are the ones who died inside
Cos they took all that they had

So if your a paper person
Who knows what hurt is
Please with us now, come stand

"They" are everyone who've ever hurt you
Insulted you
Hated You

For Just being you
I, your neighbour in the chain
Loves you

Cos' affectively I am you
And you are me

PEACE
