The first day I saw you…
The first day I saw you,
That smile I’ll never forget…
You were wearing glasses,
But could not hide the glow in your eyes…
Tried to avoid eye contact,
But I couldn't get my eyes off you,
Talking to you felt I was in a musical theater,
Because your voice was just so musical
And soothing,
The smile and glowing eyes remain,
Engraved on my mind and in my heart,
The first thought I had was,
“Damn I’m going to make you smile every chance I get”
Your beauty got me overwhelmed…
Talking to you felt like I knew you forever
And hugging you for the first time,
Made me feel like that’s where you belong in my arms,
Didn't want to let you go but I knew you were home
And you’d be with me because I’d make sure of it…
Watching you walk away after we had said our goodbyes,
Felt weird because it was the first “hello”,
That made me not want to say “goodbye” ever again…
