The Spanish Teacher and The English Student

There was a young girl 
Who couldn't fall in love 
She was hurt so much 
To where she had given up 
Then she met this man 
Who was Puerto Rican and Hispanic
Every time she saw him in school
Her heart went into a panic
But he was a teacher 
And she knew she didn't have a chance 
But as he was standing in the hallway
She couldn't help but take a glance 
He was so kind to her 
She would stay after school just for them to talk
She would miss her bus on purpose 
She didn't mind taking a walk 
She doesn't know why he's in her head 
Love is not in her book 
And even though she knows a little Spanish 
This is a language she never took
Twisting and turning in her bed 
Wishing her feelings weren't so strong
In her head screaming asking why for him 
She knew these emotions were wrong 
She knew that the kind teacher 
Could never feel the same 
And after she graduates and leaves
He'll probably only remember her name 
Not the talks they have had 
And what she said under her breath that she shouldn't 
He could only look back and say 
He was a Spanish teacher with an English student
