Letting Go
Letting go of that in which kills me
So that I may live again, breathing no longer gasping.
Letting go of what in which hurts me
So that I may be able to love again
For once in my life to feel the blood rush straight to my head
Letting go in what blinds me
To finally see what I've been missing
Leaving the past behind
So that my days are clear for sunshine
Letting go of everything that hinders me
Dusting the debris from off my wings
Letting go of unwanted feathers
Soaring high above just beneath the sky into a new spring
