A Mother's Light
Words can’t explain the bond
Nor time is able to tell
The force you have move through me.
To be able to reach for the stars in the day
Because you showed me that night time
Isn’t the only time they shine bright.
To see the strength you carry
When at times all you want to do
Is fall on bending knees.
Encourages me to not let
The negative things weigh me.
Your love is precious and sacred
Yet virtuous and ideal.
The Role is defined
By the actions of every appeal.
Tolerant and graceful are key components of your
Withdrawing an ounce of joy gives a meaningful part.
Mother
I know you can understand
the little child inside the man.
Mother hold me close to your heart
however distance doesn't keep us apart.
From the man you raised
The lesson you taught me remains
You enriched my mind so
Being a peasant wasn’t a thought
Because of you, I’m set apart
Without you, I wouldn’t have a heart
You are the reason I’m
The man I am today
You showed me how
A woman should carry herself
You showed me how
How a woman should be treated
You are the reason I
Treat woman with such respect
The way you present yourself as
A wife and a mother,
How could I not treat another woman
The way I would want you to be treated
I could go on and on for days
Talking about the ways
You amaze me, but
I wouldn’t want to disrespect you
By acting as if words could sum you up
The way I will express it is by
Letting the world see through me
What I see whenever I look at you
Nor time is able to tell
The force you have move through me.
To be able to reach for the stars in the day
Because you showed me that night time
Isn’t the only time they shine bright.
To see the strength you carry
When at times all you want to do
