Monogamy

Hurricane she whispers
in-between
the cacophonies
of
east
and
west

Too many words
crammed
into tiny spaces
with too little skill to
navigate
the
rising waters
of
mediocrity

My voice prying
away
at

moon
or Antarctica

or a loneliness
too distant

to call home

Hurricane she bellows
from the caverns
of amplitude

(with great ease)
the
sea floor rises up
to greet me

for one last dance
before
the

storm
