this is an intriguing piece, the repetitions are uncanny and jarring, nicely done with the exclamation mark, the dash, the subject as well of carrot breath, which reflects the writing style of this said Smile Henry from what I have read so far. I liked the wit in "A half expected comma" - tickled me. i can't stop re-reading it.
