Ash

Driving the last nail
into the bridge
that leads to the town,
she built for him.
She looked up
for his approval
but he was nowhere
and had been gone awhile.
She is hurt to her core,
than quickly incinerates
all feelings she had for him.
She pulls the Kerosene
out of her shirt.
She always keeps it
close to her heart.
Even before she crosses the structure,
she sets it ablaze.
Walking through her town,
she lights each building.
Down goes every;
church, library and home.
Along her freshly torched course
and eyes full of sociopathy,
she see's his face in her mind
and burns that too.
She never cries.
She walks to the highest point
in the city to watch the show.
As she stands on her front row seat,
She douses herself in gasoline.
While bathing in the fumes,
he walks up behind her.
"I saw the smoke, so I came to see.
Are these glorious flames for me?"
With the flattest of affect,
she nods yes.
Mesmerized by its beauty,
his Pyro eyes laugh,
admiring her destruction.
He grabs her hand unwarrantedly.
"Thank You", he whispers.
They stand hand locked
and remain for a moment.
He is still looking at her inferno,
the Hell he painfully inspired,
when without regret she kisses him
and lights them both on fire.
